Draft — Pending Legal Review

This document is a working draft prepared as a starting point. It has not yet been reviewed by counsel and will be finalized before any commercial launch.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Virtus Formation website, programs, community, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account, joining a waitlist, purchasing a program, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

Virtus programs are designed for young men ages 15 through 30. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 13 years old.

Users under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian review and consent to these Terms, and we require a parent email address to be provided at sign-up. Parents will receive periodic summaries of their son's participation.

Users under the age of 13 are not permitted to create accounts.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep your account details current.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us immediately.

3. Program Participation

Access to a Virtus program is granted upon successful payment and admission. Programs are delivered in cohort format on a published schedule.

We reserve the right to remove participants who materially disrupt the cohort, violate our community guidelines, or fail to engage with the program in good faith. Removal for cause does not entitle the participant to a refund.

4. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. All fees are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise noted.

A full refund is available if requested in writing before the first scheduled session of the cohort. After the first session, tuition becomes non-refundable. Partial refunds for documented hardship may be considered case-by-case.

Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us may result in account suspension.

5. Intellectual Property

All content we produce — videos, written materials, frameworks, workbooks, assignments, and curriculum — is the intellectual property of Virtus Formation and is provided to you under a limited, personal, non-transferable license for personal formation only.

You may not copy, redistribute, resell, republish, or create derivative works from Virtus content without prior written permission. Sharing course login credentials with non-enrolled persons is a material breach of these Terms.

6. User Conduct

You agree to engage the program and community with honesty, respect, and good faith. The following are grounds for immediate removal without refund:

— Harassment, threats, or hate speech directed at any participant or member of the Virtus team.

— Unlawful conduct or the promotion of unlawful conduct.

— Distribution of explicit, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate material.

— Solicitation, spam, or commercial promotion outside the scope of program activities.

— Attempts to circumvent access controls or compromise the security of the Services.

7. Community

The Virtus community is hosted on Discord. Access is subject to our Community Guidelines and to the Discord Terms of Service.

We moderate the community actively. Violations of our guidelines may result in removal from the community without refund. Posts made within the community are not private — treat them accordingly.

8. Disclaimers

Virtus provides educational content, frameworks, and community. We do not provide professional therapeutic, psychiatric, medical, legal, or financial advice. Nothing in our programs is a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional.

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranty that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet any particular expectation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Virtus Formation, its founders, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Our aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Services in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for violation of these Terms, for conduct that threatens the safety or integrity of the community, or for extended inactivity.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Termination does not relieve you of any obligations incurred prior to termination.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address on your account. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY, STATE], and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
