This Privacy Policy describes how Virtus Formation ("Virtus," "we," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website, programs, community, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). We take privacy seriously and try to collect only what is necessary to deliver a thoughtful program.
We collect the following categories of information:
Account information — name, email, age, and (for users under 18) a parent email address.
Payment information — processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and basic billing metadata, but we never see or store your full card number.
Program data — your progress, notes, submitted assignments, and session attendance.
Communication — emails and messages you send us, including support requests.
Technical data — standard web logs including IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, and referring URL.
We use your information to:
— Provide access to programs, courses, and the Virtus community.
— Deliver email communications related to programs you have enrolled in or opted into.
— Send parent summaries to the parent email on file for users under 18.
— Improve our curriculum, content, and platform over time.
— Respond to support inquiries and community issues.
— Comply with legal obligations and protect the safety of our community.
We share information with a limited set of vendors that help us operate the Services. Each has its own privacy practices, linked below.
Supabase — database, authentication, and session management.
Stripe — payment processing.
Mux — video hosting and delivery for program lessons.
ConvertKit — email delivery for program sequences and summaries.
Vercel — website hosting and edge infrastructure.
Discord — community hosting.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. We do not share your data for targeted advertising.
We use a small number of essential cookies for authentication and site functionality. These are required for the Services to work.
We do not use third-party advertising trackers. We may use privacy-first analytics to understand aggregate site usage, which does not identify individual users.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
— Access the personal information we hold about you.
— Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
— Request deletion of your account and associated data.
— Export your data in a portable format.
— Object to certain processing activities.

Virtus programs are designed for young men ages 15 through 30. We require verified parental consent for all users under the age of 18 and collect a parent email address at sign-up for that purpose.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at privacy@virtusformation.com and we will delete the information promptly.
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase, and limited employee access to production data.
No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute protection and disclaim liability for breaches outside our reasonable control.
We retain your account and program data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. You may request deletion at any time. Some anonymized or aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.
Our service providers may store and process data in the United States and other jurisdictions. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information across borders in connection with the operation of the Services.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address on your account. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
